ZuivelNL, established at Benoordenhoutseweg 46, 2596 BC The Hague, is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this privacy statement. ZuivelNL considers correct handling of personal data to be of major importance. In this privacy statement we explain which types of personal data we collect and use and for which purpose.

Which personal data does ZuivelNL process?

ZuivelNL processes personal data as you make use of our services and products and/or by you providing us with this data yourself. Below you will find an overview of the personal data that are processed by ZuivelNL:

Personal data that we can process (receive, store, adjust, etc.) are:

  • Contact data: first name and surname, (home/postal) address, e-mail-address, telephone number, company name of the company you work with.
  • Additional personal data: date of birth, title.
  • Technical personal data: IP-address, the browser you use to visit our website.
  • Other personal data that are required in order to be able to properly provide our services and other purposes as described below.

How do we collect this personal data?

In most cases you provide this personal data yourself. For example, when you contact us through the contact form or when you sign up for a service or product. Or when you visit our website, complete a form on our website, apply for work at our company or when you give us your business card. We can also process personal data from you during (telephone) conversations or e-mail contacts. Or we process information that we receive during (telephone) conversations and e-mail contacts with you.

Why do we process this personal data?

Communication
When you send us e-mails or other messages, these are included and stored in our systems. Sometimes we will ask you for personal data that may be relevant in a specific situation. This enables us to process your questions and to respond to your requests.

Which legal bases do we apply for processing this personal data?

The Dutch General Data Protection Regulation mentions six legal bases which allow for processing personal data. ZuivelNL applies the following legal bases:

  • For executing an agreement;
  • Because of a legal requirement;
  • With your consent;
  • Because of a legitimate interest.

When we process personal data from you on the basis of consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent for processing at all times.

With whom do we share this personal data?

In some cases we have to share your personal data with others. For instance, because ZuivelNL deploys third parties for carrying out its services and activities. If these third parties have access to your personal data, we will take appropriate technical, legal and organisational measures to make sure that your personal data is sufficiently secured and will solely be used for the purposes with respect to which the personal data has been collected. ZuivelNL will under no circumstances sell your personal data to third parties.

The other organisations with which we share personal data or which process this personal data by order of ZuivelNL are also responsible for processing this personal data within the framework as defined by the Dutch General Data Protection Regulation themselves. We will enter into processing agreements with all our processing entities.

How long do we retain this personal data?

ZuivelNL will retain the personal data that you have provided us through these forms as long as necessary for completely responding to and/or handling your request. Apart from this, your request can be included in our systems and stored into these in conformity with the legal retention obligation.

We will not retain your personal data that we process any longer than necessary for the purpose for which we have collected this. If a legal retention obligation applies, we will observe the term concerned.

What are your rights?

The Dutch General Data Protection Regulation gives you some rights. For instance, you have access to your personal data that we process for examination or to have it changed – or deleted – if the personal data is not correct (any longer) or if you think that processing is not justified (any longer). Under certain circumstances, as indicated in the Dutch General Data Protection Regulation, you can ask us to limit the processing, request from us to transfer your personal data to another party responsible for the processing or object to the processing.

As party responsible for processing, ZuivelNL will assess whether we can comply with your request on the basis of the General Data Protection Regulation.

You have the right to make a complaint to a supervisor, which in most cases will be the Dutch Data Protection Authority. However, we will highly appreciate it if you first contact us to try to find a solution together.

We cannot comply with all requests (as described above). In some cases processing is required on the basis of legal stipulations or obligations. Or, for example, because compliance with your request may violate the rights and liberties of third parties or because this is outweighed by the interest of being able to bring in legal proceedings. Should we not (be able to) comply with a certain request, we will of course notify you with due motivation.
